Itsy - bitsy spider

This spidey was found hanging outside our car window on our way back from my hometown. It was big one. It stayed there even when the car was moving quite fast. Finally when my husband stopped at the roadside to buy some coconut drinks and he went to shoo Mr. Spidey here but instead the creature moved into one of the back openings in the car. I couldn't help but thinking that we might exported the rural creature to the urban jungle and it might mutated the 'normal city spidey' to become giant tarantula. Opps okay, totally wrong species here. Oh well, maybe I watched the movie 'Arachnophobia' too many times ...but what ifs ... (twilight zone's music) :)

to jog, drink coffee and be merry

I went jogging again this morning. And I plan to do so again tomorrow. Needless to say, I’m sure gonna feel the leg or body ache come Monday morning after such long hiatus from any exercise. It was a good feeling to be able to smell the sweet not so strong fragrant of some small flowers that blooming on the big trees at the early hours of the day. All the long meetings for the pass 3 days has taken its toll on my body. I didnt realized that I had 3 cups of coffee on Thursday and another large Starbuck's cup at night to satisfy my craving only to be awoke at 0500 and cannot go back to sleep. Three trips to loo later, I managed to drag myself to office and keep reminding myself not to take coffee, at least for the day.

A friend who just moved closer to my house came by at 0700hr so we jogged to the park together. She had warned me NOT to lure her into having breakfast together after our exercise ... bcos she knows about my love affair with food (especially breakfast on weekends). When I asked her about hers, she told me freshly squeezed fruit juice (either apple or guava add with banana) and maybe a bit of cereal and sometimes the juice will also be her menu for dinner. My eyes almost popped out of its sockets!!! She told me this when both of us were having lunch yesterday at a newly found food joint near our office. I was having mee rebus (noodle) and she some 'rojak mamak' which at the end was finished by me. She only ate total of 4 spoonfuls maybe.

Anyways, I'm so happy to feel sweat again on my face today. I pray that god give me the courage and strength to this again tomorrow.

As for breakfast afterwards, I'm having fried macaroni with beef ...^__^ lol

Shuffle baby!

This video was shot by my 10 year old son Danish featuring his 12 year old cousin Adam (gosh! I feel old) during their recent get together in their Puan's (grandma) room. All aunties and uncles take note of your future artist and movie director in the making.

Make it with you by Bread

Heard this song on the radio before I dozed off and I seemed to remember it again this morning. It's a beautiful song by the group Bread (in the 70's) with the lead singer David Gates. Happy listening and may your Sunday be a relaxing one like me.

It's finally over

Happy Belated Lovey-Dovey Day everyone. No I didnt receive the above bouquet for Valentines. It was given to me last year by my hubby for our 10th wedding anniversary and has been sitting on my office desk eversince. Feb 14 was uneventful for me since I had to prepare for my not worse but pretty bad nightmare - the presentation.
So I slept at 0300hr, re-doing all the slides since I just received the presentation materials from a group member in Kuching during office hour on Thurs but was too busy to open the email then. Woke up about 2 hrs later at 0540hr to prepare my son for his school.

Went to work early to use the office printer to print some points out. A colleague from another group wants to carpool since she dont know the way to the training center in Wisma Penyayang and she was late. And now, both of us will be late. Turned out she had a stomach upset since early morning due to too much good food courtesy of her valentine's dinner the night before.

So we were rushing with me on the steering wheel and I made the wrong turn! Great, what's next? We end up on the highway instead. But I wasnt too worry since I sort of know the way to get there but it's just that it means I'm going to be more late.

When we arrived, I realise I had left my thumb drive back at the office and my laptop's battery at home. Managed to get the secretary to find my thumbdrive, locate my file and emailed my presentation slides. My laptop's died on me half way before it was my turn to present but I've already managed to save it on the trainer's notebook. I wasn't nervous or anything not until the last 10 minutes or so before my turn. But the crowd made me feel as if I was Joan of Arc - the group's saviour. Maybe bcos the fact that I was alone from my group, so they clapped and cheered, maybe out of sympathy. I dont know. The Q&A session wasn't that bad either. When it was over, I realised that I havent been to the loo since morning. Result is still not out yet, somewhere around next month I think. Anyways, I dont think it matter to me anymore. I am just so glad it's over. The end of my 3 months long training module. Adios.

The Ice Cream Maker

This book belongs to my husband. He has it almost a year already and didnt even pass page 11. It's not a thick book so I intend to finish it. I had enough of fiction. Anyways I received a not so good news today. 3 out of 4 members in my on-going training group cannot make it for the final round of our assignment which is the presentation on this coming Friday (less than 2 days). The person whom suppose to do the presentation has to attend a regional conference in Chiengmai and HR said they can't postpone the date anymore. The last member is me. Now it seems that I have to do the presentation to the selected panels on my own!! Okay I am now officially panicking.
