Kamsahamnida (Thank you) - K drama

A while back I finished watching the last episode of the said K drama. Between the raya leaves, I only managed to catch about the last 10 episodes on telly and the rest from YouTube. Without subtitling (on YT)and with very limited Korean vocabs - I understood the story just by looking at their body language. Hah!! As if ... LOL (but that's what I told hubby when he saw me watching without the English subs)
Apparently my Kak Long (eldest sis in law aka Queen of K Drama with original DVD collection to boot) already watched it and she gave her stamp of approval on this one too.
I like this one bcos the main actor character stay true to his original profession althou' he no longer practise professionally. For those not in the know, K drama characters often tend to forgo completely their past lives usually after they experienced some life threatening/changing situation. First episode is usually crucial bcos the time difference between the 1st and 2nd episodes can go between 2-5 years! The main actors usually become a different person altogether by 2nd episode!
Anyways not this one. The main actor stick to being a corky, intelligent, dangerous and kind hearted (in his own way) doctor thru-out (and handsome too :)

So here's a snippet. Except for the main actress (who played with Rain in Sangdoo go to School), I dont know anybody else.

And what is korean drama without the song? Yes, I love the song too.

Idul Fitri 08 in pictures

Managed to finish this last weekend. Memories of the recent raya. Everyone in their best attire except hubby who left his newly bought 'baju melayu' at home so had to borrow one (top only) from my father in law. He finally able to show off his new purple 'baju melayu' during his office raya gathering (not in pic).

Overloaded

Yeah, I know I havent been blogging enough. I am sick on every weekend. What a bummer! It's like I channeled all my energy at work place from Mon-Fri and it will takes it toll come Saturday. No, make that Friday evening where everywhere hurts. So far I've been to the clinic three times on three weekends! And today, I'm coughing badly and I already lost my voice since yesterday. I have a guest at work from Jakarta (which I dont even know I have until at the very last minute approx. 2hrs before I met him) which I have to entertain on Thursday. After briefing him about the unit and our workflow (Jakarta wants to adapt our system)for about 1.5hrs -I finally lost my voice, grrreat!!
One of my 3 months employed staff, resigned early of this month. She cant take the workload and mental pressure. So we are understaff. I received substantial number of resumes from internal staffs to take over her place but I'm not too keen in making haste decision to replace her simply bcos I really want to get the right candidate this time. So meanwhile my current workload suffers bcos I breakout the job scope into two and devide it between me and another staff.
My eldest son Danish, will be sitting for his finals next week. So when you came back from work half dead, cant even open your eyes bcos you've been staring at the computer almost 11hrs (yeah, nowadays I dont even go for lunch) but you know you have to still use the balance of willpower to go thru his revision books (dictating what to go thru, revise and what not) but I always am not able to keep my side of the bargain which is to make sure I mark his work on time bcos I always fell asleep. It's not easy to mark school work done by a Standard Four student nowadays you know. Especially the BM and Science lessons. It requires full brain juice which most of the time especially in these few weeks - mine had already reach its Empty level by the time I reach home. Poor boy!
The family had several raya open house invitations over the past weeks and so far we managed to go to 3 out of 6. My office alone had 3 different functions yesterday and I only could make time for one. Last night, my family went to another open house hosted by an old friend of mine. I dont feel like hassling the host to provide me with warm water since she was quite busy entertaining her other guests as well, so I drank the cold orange juice provided. And since last night, I've been coughing non-stop. Oh well...

Abby and her Sisters by Melanie Bellah

This is memoir of a mother about her daughters. She lost not one but two daughters!! In a span of three years. She lost her eldest thru suicide and her third daughter Abby (title of the book)thru auto mobile accident.
The book is a collection of her daughter's Abby journal. It's about how she endure the demise of her eldest sister Tammy and her daily thoughts about life, family, friends, boys and school. Her journal called Magi (Japanese name) reminded me of mine when I was at her age. Mine is called Cassandra after a spider with the same name in a book I read.
Other than that similarity I dont enjoy the book more mainly bcos of its ... font. Whenever the passage switch from the narrator (whom is the mother) to the journal it changed into this awful, boring, serious, whatever font. To make matter worst, the transition is not smooth so I sometime got lost bcos I'm not quite sure who said what was it the mother or Abby.
It took quite some time for me to finish the book, even my hubs notice. He would go like 'still on the same book? must be not interesting'
But I finished it. So on to the next book.

300ml of AB+

It was the first day of work after my 1 week leave. 437 emails uncleared! Okay need to attend to that 1st. Oouch! My back hurts since last 2 nights. Now its worsen. A reminder pops up, blood donation? Today of all day? But a lot of staffs are not back yet from their raya leave? ohh well.. okay got to go for that one too. Wait, you need to have proper breakfast 1st before they allow you to donate your blood. I guess after the 1 month fasting I totally forgot about breakfast in the office. Luckily I have my 3in1 nestum cereal with me. This will have to do. After a quick gulp, I ran down to the lobby. As suspected, turn up was not good compare to previous event bcos many staffs are still on leave. This will be my second time in 2008. The last one was in March. Interval should be at least 5 months. After ticking NO to all diseases, multiple sex partners, tatooing and piercing columns and YES to 'have you had breakfast' and 'good 8hrs sleep' questions in the donation form (actually I slept at 1230am courtesy of kdrama on u tube and woke up at 0530am), I que to have my finger poked for iron test. The doctor asked me to stand on the scale to ensure that my weight is actually reach the authorize level which is 50kg and above which I verbally confirm but still she insist. Ooohh..I'm flattered. I somehow appear thin to her. I must be getting very good in masking all this fat in my body LOL So I'm cleared to donate 300ml of AB+.

Eid Mubarak 08 -Maaf Zahir Batin

My family made it safely last night from our hometown back to our house in KL at wee hours of 0100am. As usual, the rest of the family were fast asleep except for hubby who drove all 3.5hrs long. The one week holiday is now at its end. But it was a good raya celebration for all of us. I think I didn't over eat during the raya. Hope I thought right lol. Tomorrow is work and school as usual. But Aidil Fitri celebration will continue for the whole month of Syawal (approx till end of Oct). So open house invitations are aplenty from relatives and friends.

Thank you to all who dropped by while I was away. Below is a video which was taken on the first day of raya at my in-laws place filled with nieces and nephews & brothers and sisters in law. It was a perfect family scene :-). Peace to all.
